Method
Prep the bananas
- Peel bananas and cut them into thick stick-shaped pieces, about 2–3 inches long.
Melt the chocolate
- Melt dark chocolate in the microwave in 20-second intervals or using a double boiler until smooth.
Coat the bananas
- Dip each banana stick into the melted chocolate until fully coated.
Add toppings
- Place coated banana sticks onto a parchment-lined tray or plate. Sprinkle with flaky salt if desired.
Freeze
- Freeze for 5–10 minutes or until the chocolate is firm and the bananas are cold and slightly frozen.
Serve
- Serve immediately with nut butter for dipping if desired.
Notes
Use extra dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
Peanut butter, almond butter, or hazelnut spread all work great for dipping.
Freeze longer for a firmer ice cream-like texture.
Add crushed nuts or shredded coconut for extra texture.
